System betting is a good proposition if you keep in mind that it’s just the beginning. A system implies that you have some form of organization in your approach to doing something. It’s just the base you work from, not the structure. If you can’t see this then all systems seem to suck in the end.

I think there is a mix up in thinking relative to some redemption ghost that flows through the deeper layers of our collective consiousness. It’s due mostly to our upbringing, at least here in the US. You may need to get over it and just realize nobody is coming to save you. Your belief in your system won’t, in itself, allow you to win.
The long term odds will always favor the house and the house will only present you with the illusion of winning. Part of your job is to see the illusion and learn to look past it. Ultimately it is only you that can win the prize via your own thinking and the understanding of your focus and the mechanics of your system. One only uses a system to get organized in their thinking. Winning comes from the inspiration one may gain by starting with a system and then using their imagination to go beyond it.
Use a good system to begin, and learn how your challenger thinks. Keep in mind the house wins by supporting your illusion of winning, that you’re really only hoping one side or the other in the game will win or will lose.

Enjoy the sport but stay aware that your real game is against the house. Put your skills and knowledge to work and remember a system is just a tool, sometimes it can be a pretty big hammer when you need it. But systems are really just tools.
